Arigon Starr Returns to Tahlequah, OK for SkasdiCon 2025
Convention takes place all day Saturday, November 8 from 10:00am to 6:00pm

If you’re in the northeastern Oklahoma state area this coming weekend (November 7-8), consider joining Arigon Starr and more creative Natives at the annual SkasdiCon, presented by the Cherokee Nation. The annual convention runs for one day, Saturday, November 8th from 10:00am to 6:00pm at the Chota Conference Center located next door to the Cherokee Casino in Tahlequah.

Arigon will be part of the exhibit hall with dozens of other artists and vendors. At 4:00pm she will present a panel about creating and publishing your own comics. “I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to share what I’ve learned with experienced and aspiring comic creators. Sure hope I can help them sharpen their skills and avoid some of the mistakes I’ve made,” Arigon said.
Starr will have limited amount of “Super Indian” graphic novels with her for sale during the convention. “Hoping to see a lot of familiar faces and meet some new folks on Saturday,” she smiled. “There is nothing like our Native community and SkasdiCon is always fun for the audiences.”
SkasdiCon will feature additional how-to panels, plus films and a Cosplay Contest. The event is all ages and family friendly.
