Arigon Starr is on her way back to Oklahoma for a series of live performances, lectures and live appearances in the Oklahoma City/Norman area.

Beginning the fun will be a stop at the legendary Jacobson House Art Center in Norman, Oklahoma on Wednesday, September 17th at 6:30pm. She will perform a series of songs from her back catalog, accompanied on her acoustic guitar. “It’s been a while since I’ve performed live on solo acoustic guitar,” Arigon said. “I’m looking forward to telling the inspirations behind these tunes and taking questions from the audience.”

The program is presented by the University of Oklahoma and is free and open to the general public.

Arigon will also attend the Grand Opening of the First American Museum’s FAMily Discovery Center on Thursday, September 18th. “I have been so thrilled to be part of the character creation of the critters who inhabit this part of the museum that’s gear towards kids and families,” she revealed. The new FAMily Discovery Center will open to the public on Saturday, September 20th.

Finally, on Monday, September 22nd, the Western Literature Association’s annual conference presents a unique Arigon Starr performance that will feature her live music, comic books and a special presentation of a five-minute excerpt from her play in development “Indian Life.” The program titled “Oklahoma Grounds: Songs, Stories and Graphic Conversations With Arigon Starr” was conceived by Arigon and her friends Susan Bernardin and Chad Allen. “What we thought would be a casual chat amongst friends and colleagues mushroomed into a show,” smiled Arigon. “I am super excited to be presenting all aspects of my storytelling!” The show starts at 6:15pm and takes place at the conference’s host hotel, The Okana Resort. Take a look at the flyer — and like the Jacobson House show, the public is invited and is presented free of charge!
